NORMALLY takes place March ANNUALLY • 12:00pm - 2:00pm • Bradford Street, Digbeth

From Irish dancers to Caribbean dancers, Welsh dragons to Chinese dragons, the Birmingham St Patrick's Festival has always been a vibrant celebration of multiculturalism in the city.

At 12 Noon a confetti blast signals the start of the St Patrick's Parade, and another fun filled festival celebrating the culture and diversity of Birmingham unfolds to the delight of attendees.

The Parade dates back to 1952 and was the first in Britain. It was originally started by the Irish community to reinforce their identity and ensure their strong links with the home country, Ireland.

Whilst being unmistakably Irish at the core, the Parade increasingly mirrors the fantastic diversity and multicultural nature of Birmingham, welcoming guest appearances from other communities.
